Things that you should know about the housing in India

flats in Delhi

The first year that I arrived in India, the company that helped me to come here also assisted me to rent a flat in the city that I lived in Pune. That was my case and for all of the people coming here in India through a company and for others also who went through the same process. For those who are assisted by the college or most of the times friends. This case will explain you what will happen if during your stay here you decide to move out, here are the things that you should know:

The deposit

There are two important things that you have to keep in mind when it comes to the deposit in India, it varies depending on the cities you live i.e 3 months in Pune/ 10 months in Bangalore; and it is most of the time non refundable or partially refundable, what I am trying to say is that you will be lucky if you are able to get it back at least partially.

The agreement

There is only one thing that I have to say, just read the agreement and don’t mind asking question or help from your friend who lived here for a longer period than you.

The rent

The rent may vary depending on different factors, such as: cities, areas, your nationalities or race (unfortunately, yes this is the sad truth), your food habit (non-veg or veg) and so forth.

 Rules

Most of the time it may happen that you will be under strict restrictions from your owner, rules as these: let your friend stay over for the night, or no party at your place, or no non-vegetarian food allowed in your apartment etc.
